Description: A unique and wonderful chance to enjoy Hartland Abbey and its beautiful surroundings in the company of the present owners, Sir Hugh and Lady Stucley. The walk will finish with a tour of the Abbey (for those who would like) and a cream tea in its lovely surroundings.
Start from: Hartland Abbey Grid reference: 190/SS 245 248(Map link)
Directions to start: Go to the A39 between Bideford and Kilkhampton. From Bideford direction, drive 9.9 miles from Bideford roundabout to the roundabout above Clovelly. Continue on the A39 for 0.3 miles and turn right towards Hartland. Pass through Hartland village, turning left at the far end towards Hartland Quay. Continue for 0.8 miles and turn right and then left into Hartland Abbey. Follow the drive to the house and park in the field on the left. The walk starts here.
